Travel-blog of my trips and adventures, big and small. Thursday, September 9, 2010. Our first day in Ankara, Pelin and Turan Abi took Noel and I to Anıt Kabir. Then we went to Turan Abi's office and enjoyed a delicious lunch of donar. Thinly sliced meat like Arabic shwarma. Sour yogurt drink, like Kefir. After, we wandered around the Kızılay. That night, we had a wonderful iftar. Pelin was in the process of applying for jobs during our visit (since then she's been employed by Gazi University - go Pelin!
