Feel special because despite my mounting mountain that threatens to crush us all in its inforgiving weight and bulk, taking with it much of my poorly deserved sanity and dwindling patience, I choose to converse with you. So I went to see my eye doctor (opthalmologist I think it was) this morning at something like 7:20 am. I wasn't there for very long, but in those few minutes, I was moved up from whenever the hospital calls me, to the next in line. So I now have an appointment with the surgery at the VG hospital for Monday at 11am! So it's a 4-day week for me next week! Links to this post. Monday, October 27, 2008.

So we got the quote for the fence from the guy who said $10,000 to give us a quote on a chain link fence (4 ft high) and it was much more respectable. Sunday, June 08, 2008. Iceland, Then and Now. For several years I have comtemplated revisiting Iceland, where I served during the war. The pictures indicate the changes that have occurred over the past 63 years. This is the same spot in December, 1944. Notice the lack of trees at that time. I marched in that parade.
