I'm using mostly 'Parris Island Cos Romaine' lettuce this time. I'm fitting in a few of the purple varieties from previous trials too. Once the first leaves begin to show, a root can be seen underneath the rock wool cube. The cubes are placed in the net pots, molded to the edges, and then topped with a little hydroton for a moisture barrier. Then its off to the propagator. The spinach seedlings have a little head start. But here are the stage 3 photos. This is about a 4 days after moving into the PVC.

Summertime is here, so I've planted some vegetables. This is my bigger tomato plant filling out. I still have a few types of lettuce. They don't do well in the heat, but I've been able to produce a few salads. I also have a yellow squash plant that's beginning to flower. You can see the tiny little yellow squash towards the bottom of the plant. They're just getting started. These are some bell and poblano pepper plants along with another tomato. And a third tomato plant towards the end.

I had some used rockwool cubes, so I put them right in with some catnip seeds. Other herbs are starting in the germination tray along with my lettuce for Grow 3. You can see sprouts already from the catnip cubes. These were put in the rockwool a good 8 days before the others.

Here is an example salad from my first grow. We harvested all the lettuce and transplanted other items into soil pots. Here you can see the Bok-Choy, Sage, and Strawberries from the first round. The strawberries are starting to bloom now. For my second round, I'm going to use filtered water and hydroton clay pebbles. My parents luckily have filtered aquifer water.
