Friday, May 14, 2010. The CDC of Our Children’s Souls. I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused the growth.". But is it OK to settle for just sowing or planting the seeds of the Faith? Given the reality of situation, I think that it is, granted the seeds of faith are sown well. But what if they’re not? What if the seeds were sown poorly? What if the Faith passed on is incomplete or damaged? Now what happens when the seeds of Faith are not planted on well? Planting seed is hard work, and they don’...

Wednesday, February 25, 2009. When I was in school, I took a class which required me to read and study Percy Bysshe Shelley's sonnet "Ozymandias". The story sunk into my mind and memory and often resurfaces when I think about certain things. Lent is one of those things. Its story is haunting and disturbingly relatable to so much of my own life. For me, one major goal of Lent is to recognize and struggle with the "Ozymandias" in myself. I met a traveler from an antique land. Saturday, February 21, 2009.

Saturday, March 7, 2009. I've heard it said that the greatest deception that Satan perpetrates on humanity, is convincing it that he does not exist. I think God's greatest Truth, and perhaps His greatest challenge, is convincing us that He DOES exist, in the Eucharist. In a red little-devil suit with a rubber pitchfork and fake horns, rather than a fallen archangel who hates God and whose ultimate goal is to turn us against Him. Kneeling during Mass, we recite the words that profoundly express this faith:.
