Tuesday, September 11, 2007. Acadia National Park, Maine, US. After that we drove to the Cadillac mountain. Very good view from there, kind of like Mt Constitution at San Juan, WA. Very windy, I wanted to sit there some more, look at the setting sun, but time, wind and my cold did not permit that. Oh well, I am sure we will get more opty to get to such a place. Sunday, September 16, 2012. I made a visit to Seattle and decided the best thing to do was a hike! The views started at trailhead itself which was quite high. The trail was quite unique, make of 20 switchbacks which were all visible from the trailhead. If this was in Switzerland, there would be no switchbacks, infact there would be no trail, its a mountain, you can see the top, just get up there! Location: Sauk Mountain, Mt. Wednesday, September 03, 2008. We did a 3 day backpacking in Hoh river forest. Its a very dense real forest, full of animals and beauty. At the end was a magnificent glacier which we did not know about when starting the trail. We covered the first 10 flat miles this day. This was all flat and not difficult to cover. Thursday, August 27, 2009. I cannot believe that I did it! Finally, on top of St Helens.There was never a question of 'can do', but would all the stars line up with permit, weather, time and would I be able to do it. And that happened this Thursday as I had planned. Got the permit from someone, packed my bags on Wednesday night, camped at Lone Fir Resort and finished the hike on Thursday! Sunday, July 27, 2008. This was the weekend for a easy trail. We decided on noble knob, its a 7 mile round trip with a total elevation gain of 500ft, easy breezy. The road leading to trailhead is really bad, steep uphill, gravel, rocky, basically not recommended for your cute little loved car. So we decided to rent something better and go for the hike.
