Three Rattlers on Tumamoc Hill. Paul Mirocha collaged high resolution scans of the 3 species of rattlesnakes present on Tumamoc Hill to make this print. Each live snake was scanned separately after they were anesthetized by the Tumamoc Herpetology Lab for insertion of radio transmitters. Scientists on the Hill track the movements of each individual snake as part of their research. Seen here, from left to right, are the Blacktail rattlesnake, Crotalus molossus. The Tiger rattlesnake, Crotalus tigris.
