What's the deal with tumbleweed? It's out of control! Across the western US the drought has allowed this weed population to increase. Tied with reductions in rancher's cow herds that would eat the weed, this means a boom in tumbleweeds blowing across the prairie. And it's at least inconvenient, if not dangerous. This leaves a mess for us, and a fire danger. The picture to the left is near Colorado Springs on November 24, 2014. At least 8 spots like this in a 10 mile stretch of road.
