He Tuna Fever was built in Manteo, North Carolina by Capt. Buddy Cannady in 1994. She is 56 feet overall with a 17 foot beam. Under the deck you'll find a 1000 horsepower Caterpillar 3412 marine engine; the Tuna Fever boasts a cruising speed of 25 knots. In the salon there is a TV and VCR as well as a stereo with CD and an air conditioner to keep you cool in the summer months. Harter trips aboard the Tuna Fever can be booked this year by calling the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center at 800-272-5199 or calling Capt. Billy at home between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM. The Tuna Fever offers full day, offshore charters to the Gulf Stream only. Trips for the 2016 season are $1900. Credit Cards are accepted only through the Fishing Center.
