My music (S3M / IT modules and MP3)

All my music is free for all and may be downloaded and shared as long as no money is involved. Playing an MP3 shouldn't be a problem for anyone. The module files though (.IT, .S3M) need a special engine either as a plugin for existing players or a standalone player. There is a lot of software. Out there which can handle those "MODs". If you don't know what a "MOD" oder the "scene" is, I recommend you follow a few of the links. Last update: April 3rd, 2004. 2004 (guitars and postprod by David Molnar).

To play a module file, you'll need a tracker or player program if you don't already have one. I guess VLC media player. Should be just right for playing mod files as well as MP3. In fact it plays just about anything. It is available for Mac OS X, several Linux distros and Windows. Linux users are happy, XMMS. An alternative might be the VLC media player. Which I've seen playing several MOD files and doing a quite good job at it. Coders should also take a look at FMOD. MODPlug Player and MODPlug Tracker.

As a bedroom-based composer. Of digital music, I was active in the internet mod scene. From 1995 to about 2004, had an international, short-lived but nonetheless fun tracking group called the " funky brains. Consisting of d-fast, cryssalid, christofori, ceekayed (aka Crimson King), fermus, infey and me, and for some time I was also involved in administering the ModArchive IRC channel (#modarchive on DALnet, later EsperNet) and filtering new song submissions on modarchive.com. That picture is pretty old.

Aber jetzt habe ich wieder einmal ein wenig Zeit gefunden und mich auch gleich um eine Aktualisierung gekümmert. Derzeit steht ein größerer Umbau an.
