The Frank: The Hits Keep Coming
http://frankspot.blogspot.com/2008/04/hits-keep-coming.html
Shouting into the wind occasionally. Thursday, April 3, 2008. The Hits Keep Coming. I would have thought this was an April Fool's joke.(still holding out hope actually):. The first ad was silly, but at least it was.not sure how to put it. At least the first time the issue was recognizeable in that we all imagine that the President could be woken in the middle of the night with a phone call regarding a national security issue. It can't wait 3 hours? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Language is a Virus.

The Frank: February 2008
http://frankspot.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Shouting into the wind occasionally. Monday, February 25, 2008. Ralph Nader Can Go Fuck Himself. Just saw on CNN that he's running again. What a collosal prick this guy is. Seriously. Of course, the reality is, he's not as bad as the jackasses who vote for him. Even if he didn't run and the tools who would vote for him stayed home, at least the good guys wouldn't have to waste resources fending off his attacks. Tuesday, February 5, 2008. Barack Obama for President. I can't wait to have a woman President&...

The Frank: April 2008
http://frankspot.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Shouting into the wind occasionally. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Media and So On. All three major cable news networks are wasting valuable air time on Senator Obama's former pastor. Why? Is the story newsworthy? Sure Is wall-to-wall Wright coverage more important than Iraq or gas prices or the climate crisis? No way. But Reverend Wright is a scary, shouting black man and scary shouting black men equal ratings-sweet-ratings. It comes from this post at HuffingtonPost.com. Nothing to add, so I'll move along.

The Frank: 2008 in Review: Cleveland Sports
http://frankspot.blogspot.com/2008/12/2008-in-review-cleveland-sports.html
Shouting into the wind occasionally. Tuesday, December 30, 2008. 2008 in Review: Cleveland Sports. Did Cleveland have one of the worst sports years of all time? 1 No NFL team. 2 Indians were supposed to contend this year. Didn't pan out. Indians fans get to watch their favorite players play elsewhere next season. Also Kerry Wood is the savior. Honest to Pete. And people wonder if the offensive coordinator will be held over with the new coaching regime. No Actually Seattle had a worse year. Look it up.

Shouting into the wind occasionally. Thursday, December 20, 2007. Oh I never finished bitching about VH1. Yeah I'd meant to finish my ever-fascinating list of objections to VH1's top 10 lists. The final installment was Top 10 Rock Bands. Here's what they came up with. 5 Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Holy shit. Where are the Beatles? I get that a lot of people are going to put the Stones up top and Zeppelin and the Who and so on, but how can the Beatles be left out? 4 The Velvet Underground.

The Frank: September 2007

Shouting into the wind occasionally. Wednesday, September 26, 2007. This is the shirt for me. Monday, September 24, 2007. Having spent a bit of time watching football each of the past two Sundays, I've seen the new series of Cadillac ads probably 30 times. Not sure if you've seen these, but the last ten seconds of the ads features music from Hum's "Stars.". My first reaction when hearing these was: "Hey, cool. Good for Hum! Is it cool to hear your favorite bands in an ad? Thursday, September 20, 2007.

Shouting into the wind occasionally. Tuesday, November 20, 2007. Missed a day, so let's do two. Okay, next in my ongoing series of gripes with VH1's list of greatest musicians, guitarists. I'm going to do frontmen as well today because I don't have too many bitches with these lists. Here's what VH1 had for guitarists. 10 David Gilmore, Pink Floyd. 9 Toni Iommi, Black Sabbath. 8 Brian May, Queen. 5 Stevie Ray Vaughn. 4 Eddie Van Halen, Van Halen. 3 Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin. 6 Eddie Van Halen. Up next: VH1...
