Garden Growth in Four Months. September 12, 2016. This years vegetable garden was potted in April, four months later, we had plenty to harvest. We have picked hundreds of peppers and cherry tomatoes throughout this season and just this month we finally got to harvest the tomatillos, some were over ripe and past their prime, but the others were just right. The tiny Chiltepin peppers have been growing by the hundreds – these little suckers really pack a punch of heat! Here are some of the oldest tomatillos...

Garden Growth in Five Months. October 10, 2016. September has come and gone, the potted vegetable garden has been growing for five months and is now winding down. While we are still seeing a lot of veggies to harvest, some of the plants have already completed their season. The Peppers stayed strong. Even though some of the leaves started to turn yellow, most of the plants still produced a good amount of peppers. May 3, 2015. A while back, my brother got into infusing honey with herbs. Although I am a huge fan of honey, I have never infused it myself. Such a great idea, honey is possibly the best sweetness there is, add herbs to the flavor and you’ve just taken your sweetener to a whole new level. Lavender - 5-6 Tablespoons. Honey - 16 oz jar. Fill clean jar with lavender, about a quarter of the volume, 5-6 Tablespoons. Add honey about half way, stir lavender and fill with more honey. Enjoy your fancy honey!
