The cruising adventures of Sid and Manuela. Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Our godchild Felicia and my brother Marco. Does anybody have an idea how to slow time down? Let me know if you do. I don’t know if it just goes by fast in Panama or anywhere else. My Blog is running further and further away from me so time to catch up on the last several months. After getting back from Costa Rica I had just about 3 days to get ready for my brother and family’s visit from Switzerland. They arrived on the 29. The drive hom...

BOATBUMMS LOG: July 2013
http://boatbummslog.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
The cruising adventures of Sid and Manuela. Wednesday, July 31, 2013. A couple of days after my brother left Dr. Ida the cruiser’s dentist invited a few of us to spend the night at her beautiful resort. Wow what a tranquil place up in the hills above Colon with a spectacular view, surrounded by trees full of bird live. What amazed me was that the many hummingbirds she has look all totally different than the ones living at sea level. What a treat this visit was. Ida helping her chef. Ida, Sandy and Binnie.

The cruising adventures of Sid and Manuela. Thursday, February 20, 2014. BURNS NIGHT AND CANAL TRANSIT. Everybody had fun learning the Scottish line dances and I am sure some had sore feet for days to come. Jim and Heather outdid themselves again, this was a huge success and we all can’t wait until next year’s Burns Celebration. Here comes the Haggis. Not having fun at all. We are short on time but we were not going to let our friends down and did the transit with them. A bit rough for Kim. We were told ...

BOATBUMMS LOG: January 2015
http://boatbummslog.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
The cruising adventures of Sid and Manuela. Wednesday, January 14, 2015. We left Puerto Lindo at 7 am on the 8. Of November 2014. There wasn’t much of wind but the sun was out and the seas where calm and we motor sailed the 42 miles to Chichime and arrived at 14:00. The trip was uneventful except the dinghy davits let go, but it was an immediate and easy fix. Approaching storm (view to the West). View to the East. Plus the Kuna fishermen deliver Centoyo, monster crab and lobster. Paradise is home and as ...

http://boatbummslog.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
The cruising adventures of Sid and Manuela. Tuesday, February 03, 2015. PARADISE ON THE HARD. Everybody is saying that they have never seen stronger Christmas Winds as this year. In deed the wind was blowing every day with gusts way over 20 knots. We were just hoping that the wind would behave when we had to sail to the Shelter Bay Marina. Our haul out date was on the 8. Deb and Reg making sure all is going well. And the chaos begins. Where's Waldo replaced by Where's Manuela (sitting close to pee bucket).

The cruising adventures of Sid and Manuela. Monday, October 27, 2014. BROKEN DOWN IN PUERTO LINDO. 8220;What’s Next” seems to be the daily joke for us. How in hell do we get tangled in these kinds of things? Left Puerto Lindo, middle entrance with Mamey island in background, right Isla Linton or Monkey Island. Left Isla Linto, in background Isla Grande, to the right sandy area where new Marina is going to be. During the days we watch caracara falcons and ospreys fish, while the 3 spider monkeys on Isla L...
