Dec 22, 2014. Let's start on the front porch. I did end up switching out the embroidery hoop snowman. For a burlap and pinecone wreath I've hung above the fireplace in the past. Tom helped me hang the garland around the door. We were going to put it around the window as well but there was no way to attach it (he wouldn't let me use hot glue.) Feb 26, 2015. Tiny Updates, Big Impact. We're still caught in a deep freeze here (24 days until Spring! So the big projects requiring power tools and extended time in the garage are on hold for a while longer. Instead, we've made some small changes that have a big impact - for us anyway. Jul 21, 2015. Under-deck Enclosure with Access Door. We got some work done on the backyard this weekend. If you recall on my last post. I mentioned that we wanted to enclose the bottom of the deck, re-sod the lawn, and re-stain the fence. Well, the deck is now enclosed! How about a little before and after? Sunday, August 12, 2012. Four Basic Needs.Make that Five! Here's where making "Fairy Houses" had such an important role in nature camp this summer. We learned the four basic needs. We even learned the kinesthic movements that went with committing this to memory. Space-arms outstretched upwards and diagonally. Shelter-arms bent,hands meeting over head. Then we took off from these facts and got a little creative! When daughter Sophie was young, her Aunt Kris got her a wonderful book called, Fairy Houses.
