Turtles in Turmoil: Turtle Tracking

http://www.turtlesinturmoil.blogspot.com/2015/02/turtle-tracking.html

Monday, February 16, 2015. If scientists and researchers are studying the migratory patterns of box turtles and giant tortoises, then they need some way to track these reptiles and their movement. This is where GPS tags come into play. The same GPS tags that are being used by the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology in the Galapagos Islands are also being used on the Saint Louis box turtles. Associate Professor of Biology and Director of the Rockhurst University Honors Program. Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Today was St. George's Caye (pronounced "key" - one of the barrier islands off the coast of Belize), which is a federal holiday in Belize. Since we had the day off, we (a few faculty and about 70 St. John's College students) took a trip to Goff's Caye, a tiny, private island. My view, when I wasn't in the water looking at reef fish, is above. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Http:/ ka...
