Seine Mutter ist Cherokee-Vollblut, sein Vater war Ire, keltischer Priester. Der Woodland Duck Clan war einst ein Medizinclan der Cherokee. Ungefähr im Alter von 7 Jahren begann Turtle Winds Firewalker seine Ausbildung bei seiner Großmutter, einer bedeutenen Kräuter- und Medizinfrau.
