Stitching Around: Knitting thru March
http://stitchingaround.blogspot.com/2012/03/knitting-thru-march.html
Wednesday, March 14, 2012. The Retro Rib socks are done. I watched a video over and over to learn the Kitchener stitch to close the toes. Now, it's easy. I was totally lost at first! The yarn was wonderful to work with, definitely a new favorite. And there's been more color added to the blanket, but I still love the blue and yellow the best. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Stitching Around: December 2011
http://stitchingaround.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 18, 2011. Friday, December 2, 2011. Here are eight of the cotton mini stockings, a fun little project, each about 5". The red isn't as bright as it appears, it's more like the color of tomato soup. Adding bands of seed stitch, like the green stocking with the white toe and heel, distorted the shape. The red candy cane stripes knitted into the white stocking, bottom right, got misplaced during the stitch decreases. I made two more washcloths in between. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Eg bur...

Stitching Around: November 2011
http://stitchingaround.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Socks of All Sizes! I made two cotton. From a pattern posted by Julie at Little Cotton Rabbits. They're knitted flat (the green striped one) and stitched up the back, still have to add the little loop to hang it. Before I stitch the green one, I might duplicate-stitch '2011' on it and add a little jingle bell. The blue socks are finished! Tuesday, November 8, 2011. I finished the first sock yesterday, two weeks from the start. The cross-rib pattern looks like cables.

Stitching Around: February 2012
http://stitchingaround.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Started a pair of Retro Rib socks in Mountain Colors Crazyfoot yarn in Cedar. It's 90% merino, 10% nylon. I like the colors. And I've started another striped blanket, using up my stash of wool, using up little remainders of yarn. No plan, just knitting. The light blue and pale yellow is a sweet combo. The black and yellow-orange is very 'bee'. Friday, February 10, 2012. These pictures show the colors accurately. Thursday, February 9, 2012. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Stitching Around: Spring Knitting
http://stitchingaround.blogspot.com/2012/04/spring-knitting.html
Tuesday, April 10, 2012. The pattern for the socks I'm knitting is 'Embossed Leaves' and it will be my first attempt at lace work. The yarn, 'Navajo' from Sunshine Yarns. Has lovely colors and a substantial feel to it. The pattern uses size 2 needles, but I'm using size 1 in case my knitting is a little loose. The second Striped Blanket used up a lot of stash and passed the time. I like the section with the colors in the photo below. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Stitching Around: Blanket Part 5
http://stitchingaround.blogspot.com/2012/02/blanket-part-5.html
Thursday, February 9, 2012. Although it seemed like a good idea at the time, I removed the lime stripe (Cascade 220 wool, 'Citron') as soon as it was completed. The "knit 2 together, yarn over" detail on the sides is nice. There are only a few more rows till it's done. The grey marle is a perfect neutral to alternate between the nine color stripes. I love needle crafts and love to make lots of friends Hope you all enjoy my blog. Thursday, August 16, 2012. Is a test knit pattern for Adeline Too. This is a fun and very enjoyable pattern to knit with. It's seamless top knitting in around with a cable motif on both sides. It's a great top to wear on. I use Thalenta Star 2 balls of main color and 1 ball for soft pink, with knitting needle 4mm and 3.5mm. This one I knit using free pattern from Pierrot named Open Work Gillet. It is quite nice to knit with.
