In the conversation, he told me that his morning routine includes checking my blog. Just imagine how horrible I felt that this thing is almost a year behind. It also was such an incredible feeling that he takes times out of his day to see what we are up to. Bravo, Uncle Steve! You were just what I needed to get motivated!

Friday, May 30, 2014. November was obviously so busy, I have no pictures! AK dressed as an explorer and gave a great presentation. Thankful to be out of the house. MP got the tummy bug. This Thanksgiving was definitely very different for us. Mike had to work, and Jen and Jake moved to the other side of the country. We had no traditonal food, or special traditions. Instead, we went to see Frozen and stuffed our faces with popcorn. It was a great day! Like I said, crazy month! Posted by Jama Lee Schlauch.

Sunday, August 17, 2014. I don't even know how it has been ten years. The most beautiful baby girl made me a mother for the very first time. Since the day she was born she has been nothing but a blessing, the greatest blessing. I really never could have enough words to describe the things this girl has taught me. She is the kindest, most helpful, beautiful, giving girl you will ever meet. She's a blessing to everyone she comes in contact with. Thank you Lord, for such a gift! Posted by Jama Lee Schlauch.

Thursday, February 28, 2013. Ending the year in awe. Leaving Abilene, is always so hard. When we are "home", it feels as though we are back from vacation, to stay. You would think that after almost 18 months it would feel normal to come back to Charleston, but it doesn't. Let me break down the day for ya. We spent the morning weighing bags, moving stuff around, and making sure we got everything packed. My brother and mom took us to DFW, and don't worry this time we made sure to get there in plenty of time.

Wednesday, February 1, 2012. B is for Bilirubin. We were released from the hospital on Friday afternoon (01/20/12). Here are a couple of shots of us getting ready to leave the hospital. My little yellow baby before heading to the doctor:. We waited 6 hours and Russell and I savored every moment of getting to hold our baby girl again - I don't think we sat her down at all during those 6 hours! What great news - her body was now processing the bilirubin like it should be! Modern medicine is truly amazing!

Jathan starts running around the living room a couple of minutes ago and starts loudly yelling "I found my nuts! I found my nuts! Over and over and over. I looked at Russell with this "OMG did he just say what I thought he said? Look Russell died laughing. I was absolutely mortified and wondered where in the world he had learned about that! Jathan was playing with his frisbee in the living room floor tonight pretending it was a plate of food - the food being the letters from his foam alphabet puzzle. He held the plate to his mouth and slurped (a very dramatic slurp, I might add). He pulled the frisbee back away from his face and said "Mmmm, Mommy. That's beeelicious! Cutest.thing.EVER.
