http://aknitterstale.blogspot.com/2014/03/owl-obsession.html
The knitting, crochet and random thoughts of a bench biologist. Wednesday, 12 March 2014. In an attempt to resurrect my blog and get it going again, I'm going to show you all projects that have been finished in the last year while I was on maternity leave. There is no particular order to how I'm going to do this, it could well depend on availability of photographs when the blogging mood takes me! First up is Owl Obsession. I crocheted this for my new nephew who was born in November. The hook was 5.5mm.

A Knitter's Tale: The Nessies
http://aknitterstale.blogspot.com/2014/04/the-nessies.html
The knitting, crochet and random thoughts of a bench biologist. Tuesday, 1 April 2014. Nessie number 1 was knitted for my son's first Christmas. He's a lovely traditional Nessie with a dark green hide and lovat belly. He's generally found swimming around D's bedroom or waiting patiently at the foot of the cot. For both Nessies' the pattern is Loch Ness Monster. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. And She Knits Too. Scottish Knitters Blog Ring.

A Knitter's Tale: Delayed Making Monday - Pretty boxes
http://aknitterstale.blogspot.com/2013/04/delayed-making-monday-pretty-boxes.html
The knitting, crochet and random thoughts of a bench biologist. Thursday, 11 April 2013. Delayed Making Monday - Pretty boxes. This post was originally intended as a Making Monday post two weeks ago, but the vagueries of using blogger on a tablet (most notably the inability to move pictures around) put paid to the timeliness of the post. My knitting has really slowed down lately as we've been kept busy with a renovation project. Oooh, I like the map idea. I wonder if I have any suitable shoe boxes. View ...

A Knitter's Tale: February 2012
http://aknitterstale.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
The knitting, crochet and random thoughts of a bench biologist. Monday, 6 February 2012. I don't have anything on the needles. not. one. single. thing! I hardly know what to do with myself, but at the same time, I'm not in a rush to get going either. It's a bit like hanging in a limbo where I can't quite get my thoughts straight about priorities and patterns. The absolute opposite of startitis! That said, there are a few. That are starting to tug at my attention. Links to this post. And She Knits Too.

It's on here, it's on the shop blog. With more details about the . well . details), and it is on Ravelry. I absolutely love it and it is all down to TB. He was left on his own with the Designer Yarns rep and he ordered it without a word to me. I don't care - I just wish he had ordered more colours. Labels in Ravelry - too scared to see it in ...

A Knitter's Tale: March 2014
http://aknitterstale.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
The knitting, crochet and random thoughts of a bench biologist. Monday, 24 March 2014. First up today was a birthday gift I knitted for my daughter almost exactly a year ago now. She was getting a doll's bed for her birthday that came with a little mattress, pillow and sheet and I felt that it needed a snug blanket to finish it off properly and keep her doll cosy. I really like the effect of the off-set adjacent cables and wouldn't mind revisiting this on a larger scale in the future! I designed the colo...
