Studying Abroad….with Diabetes. 1 I had an endo appointment right before I left so I asked for some insulin and test strip samples so I could have extra for the trip. I also filled my prescriptions as close to when I was leaving as possible. I did the same for my pump sites and Dexcom sensors. Young,wild,and….Diabetic? Tales of a twenty-something with diabetes. September 12, 2013. Definitely happy with that number. I was supposed to have an appointment with my new endocrinologist last week but due to scheduling conflicts it has been moved to January. So I will go through the holidays still on MDI and with no CGM. But it’s only a minor set back. I hope everyone else is doing well and settling into the school routine nicely!
