Oh, the glamour...: November 2005
http://rachelsimons.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Oh, the glamour. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. Have you missed me? I have been off sick. In my opinion there are 3 bad things about being off work. 2) feeling guilty about being off work cos you're sick. 3) having 3 days worth of work to catch up in one day when you get back from being sick. Now go away and leave to me to snivel in my corner. Posted by Rach at 10:13. Saturday, November 26, 2005. Posted by Rach at 21:40. Friday, November 25, 2005. Posted by Rach at 17:27. Oh, the glamour...: First update from my Scubatical
http://rachelsimons.blogspot.com/2009/03/first-update-from-my-scubatical.html
Oh, the glamour. Saturday, March 21, 2009. First update from my Scubatical. 5 days in Sharm and the days are already flying. We have been so busy! We are here for 5 weeks to do our Divemsater course, which is the first step to becoming a professional diver. The kit I'm wearing weighs over 50kg and I struggle to stand up. Just to dispell the myth that we are here on a jolly holiday I would like to confirm that we have been meeting John (our instructor) at 7.45 every morning and finishing up with theor...

Oh, the glamour...: 2nd week in Egypt...
http://rachelsimons.blogspot.com/2009/03/2nd-week-in-egypt.html
Oh, the glamour. Sunday, March 29, 2009. 2nd week in Egypt. We also had another exam this week on Supervising Student Divers. We both got 100% again. Either we are geniuses or the exams are a bit easy! I could write for hours about what we saw but I'm in an internet cafe so time is limited. Here are a few snaps:. Valley of the kings. (no cameras allowed insdie the tombs). Karnak temple (a tiny bit of it - it is MASSIVE, and 4000 years old.). Note for Ed and Jon:. Should we include palm trees? It's on a s...

Oh, the glamour...: kitten improvement?
http://rachelsimons.blogspot.com/2009/05/kitten-improvement.html
Oh, the glamour. Tuesday, May 12, 2009. I thought the kittens had grown out of pooing behind the sofas. Clearly not. I decided to do a bit of quilting the other day and went into the front room to get my roll of wadding which I keep, yup, behind the sofa. I hasten to point out that the cats are not usually allowed in the 'good' room. The sofa they used to frequent was in the TV room, and the front room has generally remained a poo free zone. Oh, the glamour...: Bad Taste Day
http://rachelsimons.blogspot.com/2009/03/bad-taste-day.html
Oh, the glamour. Friday, March 13, 2009. I've been ill. Oh have I been ill. Properly shivering, aching, shitting, moaning and groaning ill. Luckily I recovered enough just in time for Bad Taste day at work, in aid of Comic Relief. Due to my midweek bedridden status I didn't have much time to prepare. Instead I threw myself at the mercy of the ladies in the Cancer Research charity shop, telling them to find me the most horric outfit they could. Here are the snaps:. Tracey, demure as ever and hoping for a ...

Oh, the glamour...: It's like being at playschool
http://rachelsimons.blogspot.com/2009/04/its-like-being-at-playschool.html
Oh, the glamour. Friday, April 24, 2009. It's like being at playschool. Maybe I've had too much sun, or perhaps I'm still delirious at the prospect of being back at work, but we've decided that the design for our current Art Gallery project should be based on a tornado. I get paid for this too. Posted by Rach at 12:24. Kirkintilloch, United Kingdom. View my complete profile. Wonderful blogs I read alot. My life as a bunny.

Margreta's Fiber Art Musings: November 2009
http://margretaquilts.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Margreta's Fiber Art Musings. Monday, November 23, 2009. Leaves can be fascinating at this time of year. So, it is nice to visit the pieces that celebrate this season. Two of them are in the 12 inch square category. All of them have dimensionality in the work (leaves created as own units and attached to the base quilt in a variety of ways). One wa. S an exploration again of long and narrow (where the proportion of length to width or vise versa is mo. Re than 5:1) . Friday, November 13, 2009.

Margreta's Fiber Art Musings: January 2008
http://margretaquilts.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Margreta's Fiber Art Musings. Wednesday, January 30, 2008. I find it fascinating that about once a month or more I get an email from someone with questions about round robin quilts. I think the easiest way for me to record my responses to these emails, and inform others, is through this mechanism. So, for the basics on the round robin quilts, check out my page here: www.margreta.com/round.htm. So, my thoughts on this process from a recent email:. Rules never seem to protect us from relationships. If you ...
