Looking Forward to more regular appearances of Iron Legions in my blogroll, welcome Colonel. Heresy Era...

Iron Legion: 245: Lighting a Rhino
http://iron-legion.blogspot.com/2015/05/lighting-rhino.html
Friday, 22 May 2015. 245: Lighting a Rhino. Rebuild the searchlight. It needs a little more space to accommodate a standard LED. I left one wire looking like a cable, and used the brass rod forming the pintle mount as the other connection for the circuit. The bevel on the headlights helps to hide the LEDs from some angles of view, and helps them to project light cones. I used the whole interior of the Rhino as a battery and switch compartment. The back door and top hatch are magnetised for access. 247: N...

Pointing an Auspex at the 40k Verse.'. Blood is Life.". Isted here are my ongoing efforts to create a Fandex for the Blood Drinkers Chapter, filling it full of fluff and win (or should that be wind? To bind together the few scraps of canon information that exist on one of the original, but scarcely written about, Rogue Trader Chapters. For he today who sheds his blood with me. Shall be my brother" -. William Shakespeare, Henry V. Origins : The Founding of the Chapter. Days of Thunder : Chapter Honours.

Pointing an Auspex at the 40k Verse.'. Tuesday, 1 October 2013. UK Games Day 2013 : Pt I Forge World. O in the vast desert of my Hobby time an Oasis appeared on the horizon (probably the first and only time Birmingham has been described as such) and I was able to bask in it's bounty of 40k goodness. Hopefully though I got a couple of snaps worthy of adding to the deluge of images flooding the Blogosphere and bringing the day to life for those that couldn't attend. More than just a Drop Pod'. And finally ...

Behind Enemy Lines Podcast: GENCON 2015
http://bel-podcast.blogspot.com/2015/08/gencon-2015.html
Arguably THE biggest weekend on the gaming calendar, with possibly Essen matching it, happens around the beginning of August in Indianapolis. It's GENCON and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger! We didn't manage to make it this year but plots are afoot to make 2016 a reality, so we've hunted down some wrap-ups and sneak peeks for you. From what I've read online and seen on Twitter etc, gaming has a future and the future is MASSIVE! FFG keep going from strength to strength as well, even after 20 years!

Behind Enemy Lines Podcast: Recording an Episode
http://bel-podcast.blogspot.com/2015/08/recording-episode.html
All sorts of shenanigans go on behind the scenes when we're recording an episode of Behind Enemy Lines. Not everything that we talk about makes it on to the episode and we also take a few photos along the way. Something we'll be doing more of is showing you inside the inner workings of what we do. Here's a bit of a photo dump from the recording of episode 13.and as you can see, we don't take ourselves too seriously at all! I tweeted this photo to Subway and they actually replied! Iron Legion: December 2014
http://iron-legion.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 30 December 2014. 236: 2014 - the year that wasn't. The year is essentially over and as far as this blog is concerned, 2014 was effectively a non-year. Including this post, and my post setting out my 2014 new year resolutions, Ive managed a mere 9 posts, and of those, only 5 actually connect to anything particularly hobby related. Anyway, looking back over what Ive been up to this year while not blogging, it turns out Ive painted up quite a bit. . More at a click. Links to this post. Hello Read...

Iron Legion: 253: Mathhammer with GNU Octave
http://iron-legion.blogspot.com/2015/07/253-mathhammer-with-gnu-octave.html
Thursday, 30 July 2015. 253: Mathhammer with GNU Octave. Many folk understand how to do basic mathhammer. For example 10 marines shooting bolters at marines (outside 12"). N shots×prob hit×prob wound×prob not saved=mean n dead. 10×(2/3)×(1/2)×(1/3)=1.1. There is a general method. You get a computer to roll the dice for you, lots of times and keep notes as it goes. This kind of thing is called a Monte Carlo Simulation. An early use was designing nuclear weapons in the second world war. Time for amour saves.
