A Twisted Sense of Religion: Welcome
http://twistedsenseofreligion.blogspot.com/2010/10/welcome.html
A Twisted Sense of Religion. Sunday, October 17, 2010. Welcome to the new blog, focusing solely on religious issues. For those new to the "Twisted" series of blogs, I encourage you to check out. To get more of an idea of where I am coming from. For everyone else, this one will be devoted to finding and exploring all of those issues that makes religion somewhat ridiculous at times. That being said, however, I am not what many would deem as a "typical" Christian. How so? More prominent issues on the nation...

A Twisted Sense of Religion: October 2010
http://twistedsenseofreligion.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
A Twisted Sense of Religion. Wednesday, October 27, 2010. A friend recently asked me if I had seen the movie Zeitgeist. I had not because, apparently, the cave I have been living in did not have access to the correct internet. Only had stuff about zombies and Harry Reid. Which may or may not be the same thing; it's a blurry line these days. The entire premise of the portion on religion is obvious: Christianity is a myth just like all the other myths that came before it and Christianity is even worse beca...

June | 2011 | To Breathe Underwater
https://mornara.wordpress.com/2011/06
Where is the line between the ordinary and the extraordinary? Archive for June, 2011. The evisceration of a novel. On June 25, 2011 by Jaym Gates. Problem is, it still isn’t good. It needs to be told differently. The main character is now the Lord of Death, rather than his wife. (I want to write something about Sviera later, but writing about the lady of chaos is a nightmare! But, that being said, here’s a bit of my process. Also known as: not losing masses of followers on Twitter. 2) This is why I kept ...

March | 2011 | To Breathe Underwater
https://mornara.wordpress.com/2011/03
Where is the line between the ordinary and the extraordinary? Archive for March, 2011. On March 30, 2011 by Jaym Gates. I’m afraid to lift more than a water glass right now. The pain from last week’s fall is coming and going, fading long enough that I forget how bad it is, and then surging when I do forget and use it. Just a moment ago, it flared so badly that all I could do was sit and focus on it. So bear with me, please. I’m a wreck. I don’t do weakness, but if someone gave me a hu...1 1/2 cups partly...

WakeandaHalf: May 2008
http://wakeandahalf.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Lake Mead - Hydrofoiling - Pictures - Weather - Likes - Dislikes - Links. Saturday, May 24, 2008. This is our prickly pear cactus. The blooms last only one day, but we were fortunate to get a bunch of them this year. The flower base is the cactus fruit, which I understand can be made into quite a tasty jelly once it ripens, but I haven't the faintest idea how you'd do that. Looks like more Welch's Grape for me! My little columbine plant, which I got last year against my better judgment, assuming it would...

Lake Mead - Hydrofoiling - Pictures - Weather - Likes - Dislikes - Links. Tuesday, February 27, 2007. Another gainer attempt. This was approximately my 10th, and I am getting around but not riding away. Saturday, February 10, 2007. This is me, trying to get more that a couple of feet on my wake jump. As soon as the weather gets warmer, I am going to be doing some inverts. The rider above is Mrs. Wakeandahalf, and should give you an idea as to why we spent so. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

WakeandaHalf: Parkin' it.
http://wakeandahalf.blogspot.com/2009/02/parkin-it.html
Lake Mead - Hydrofoiling - Pictures - Weather - Likes - Dislikes - Links. Sunday, February 22, 2009. Back to the park! The duck-type wimminfolk really got the short end of the looks stick, in most cases. Not all, however! So here's this flock of stuff we haven't seen before, waaaay out in the middle of the lake where we can't get good pictures. Another shot of some Cormorants. There's nothing at all special about the geese in this picture, but I loved the light in this one. Twisted Sense of Funny.

WakeandaHalf: January 2009
http://wakeandahalf.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Lake Mead - Hydrofoiling - Pictures - Weather - Likes - Dislikes - Links. Sunday, January 25, 2009. After writing out my Swedish pancake. Recipe yesterday, I couldn't pass up the chance to make them for breakfast today. It only took an hour and a half, since I started messing around taking pictures. (What happens when you take a picture of a mixer mixing? I have over 80 pictures of breakfast now, isn't that awesome? I'm such a dork. The good news is, the pancakes tasted the same to us! Back to the topic,...

WakeandaHalf: Swedish Pancakes - UPDATED
http://wakeandahalf.blogspot.com/2009/01/swedish-pancakes.html
Lake Mead - Hydrofoiling - Pictures - Weather - Likes - Dislikes - Links. Saturday, January 24, 2009. Swedish Pancakes - UPDATED. UPDATE: For all of you losing sleep over the outcome of the "healthy" pancake attempt, see part two. And now, for something completely different. In response to this wonderful-sounding pancake topping. I immediately thought of putting it over my favorite Swedish pancakes. The recipe was "handed down" from my mom, but I'll have to ask where it came from. 1 1/2 cup Flour.

August | 2010 | To Breathe Underwater

Where is the line between the ordinary and the extraordinary? Archive for August, 2010. The Dust on the Doors and Lintels. On August 27, 2010 by Jaym Gates. Given my rather un-linear perceptions of time, I suppose it isn’t surprising that my ‘first’ memories are from when I was 2…and when I was 8. One was watching my aunt die. Or, more accurately, the aftermath of it. I swear there’s a photograph of it, that I’ve held it in my hands. But the photograph is moving. I was 2 years old. I realized, last year,...
