The First Six Weeks. We finally hear hints of our approaching return to campus to retrieve our belongings. We get the recommended vaccines and organize to go to New Orleans and vacate our apartment. We must recover what we wish to keep or risk losing it in the clean-up. Once on-campus, we surveyed our belongings. The back wheels of our car were touched by the flood, but that’s where the water stopped. It cranked right up and even had a full tank of gas, what a blessing! Posted by twobakers @ 8:50 PM.

We didn’t know what a difference it would make that work brought us to Atlanta just a week after the storm. Atlanta has been great! We have so enjoyed being here- for loads of reasons.
