Trying to be grateful. Thursday, 6 March 2014. March 6, 2014. I will have another ultrasound around 12 weeks to check in. I am hoping the clots are gone. I am hoping the baby is alive and lively. I never thought I would have this kind of trouble with pregnancy. I guess no one does. I have been feeling pretty settled for quite awhile, however the last couple of days have lead to building feelings that I am feeling compelled to express. And Anne - Anne is fabulous! SO what is my problem? I did my blood work.

Trying to be grateful. Friday, 24 August 2012. Today I took my husband (who happens to be a doctor) out for lunch. He has delivered 3 babies this week. All good results. He says to me "you know it must be hard eh? He says "when you are a first time mom and you go into labour you have no idea how much it is going to hurt.". I say "ya so? He says "well you have 11 more days until you are induced and you know what the pain of labour feels like with an epidural and without one.". I say "ya so? I just did this.

Trying to be grateful. Thursday, 21 June 2012. 630 - 11pm June 20 -felt rhythmic cramping that we thought was the beginnings of labour. They started and stopped a few times so we just waited and went to bed. 330am felt a strong labour contraction and a strange "rushing" sensation but nothing else happened. 530am my husband rolls over and looks at me and asks "any more contractions? I check for Baby Steve's heartbeat with the stethoscope. I cant find it. I poke baby and have a drink of juice to wake him up.

Trying to be grateful. Sunday, 1 January 2012. I am tired of feeling sad. I am tired at people saying "i can even imagine.". I am tired of trying to stay positive. I am tired of disappointment - over and over again. How many times does a fly bounce against a window trying to get out? Before it gives up? Grief feels like that. Maybe it will be better "this time". Maybe it will be easier "this time". Maybe it won't be so heartbreaking "this time". And what would my baby look like right now?

I am sad to announce that today February 24, 2009 at approximately 12:24 pm, my best friend Dondi Ledesma passed away at Makati Medical Center. Dondi had been fighting lung cancer.
