We are now sitting in the Phoenix Sky Harbor airport waiting for the first leg of our flight, a bit unable to believe that THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING! Four months in south america. Monday, May 24, 2010. The official "studying spanish" portion of our trip is now done and I'm feeling simultaneously relieved and a little bummed. We're both the closest we've ever been to any level of fluency in any other language (despite the many years of french that we both took) and we can tell that if we just had a few months longer to focus on our spanish we would really be able to get to whole new levels. Oh well. Is a little more of an even friendly way to say it.
