Tuesday, 16 June 2009. Another day, another soaking - Niagara Falls. Apparently, one of the best ways to experience the falls is to travel on one of the boats called Maid of the Mist. The Maid of the Mist(s) travel close to the rocky USA falls and then onto the torrent of water falling over the Canadian side (the one everyone recognises as ‘Niagara Falls’). Drying off in the summer sun, we looked down over this awesome force of nature and simply admired its beauty.taking our last photos. Maid of the mist.

Tuesday, 28 April 2009. We came to Rotorua to both see the geological stuff and to experience the Maori culture; something that has been curiously lacking elsewhere in New Zealand. The traditional Maori village of Te Whakarewarewa o te Ope Taua a Wahiao (The Gathering Together of the War Party of Wahiao) is a few kilometres walk from the city. Let’s call it Whaka! Montreal is the biggest Francophile city outside of France and was a convenient stop on our way to Toronto.
