Thoughts from the desk of MrsJRD. We had a fine time in the park as it happens. It was roasting in London today and we pale-skinned northerners took refuge from the midday sun under a shady tree and I read the girls copious stories on my kindle (god bless that device) as Adam was despatched in his capacity of hunter-gatherer to find lunch for his ladies. Thoughts from the desk of MrsJRD. We are coming to the end of a fabulous holiday in Cornwall so now seems a good time to add a few words to my sporadically kept chronicle. As usual we uncovered a few gems through our membership of the National Trust, specifically Lanhydrock House near Bodmin and Antony at Torpoint. We had memorable picnics at both places and enjoyed a quintessentially British treat of al fresco eating, under a tree and unperturbed by wasps or other winged menaces. But you get summers off!

We have been in dire need of some family time as there has been a lot going on and there’s a lot of change ahead.
