quarter inch seam: Boy, is it dusty in here.
http://quarterinchseam.blogspot.com/2007/11/boy-is-it-dusty-in-here.html
Thursday, November 08, 2007. Boy, is it dusty in here. Just let me open up a window and get some cross-ventilation going. It's been quite a year and a half. Outsourced but still employed, Dad died, I'm an absentee landlady now (well, along with my brothers) and trying to stay on an even keel managing the property and a drunk brother. It's going to take a bit to get my blogging chops back (the few I had), so bear with me. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I wonder what I was reading. Gallery - My quilts.

quarter inch seam: June 2005
http://quarterinchseam.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 23, 2005. Away from the sewing machine. I've been in the hot and humid south,. Morehead City, North Carolina. And came back missing having my hands on fabric. I used the quilt shop's classroom cutting table, which they've raised up 6 inches, and cut all the strips for a king-sized version of Pagodas. This will turn into a duvet cover for my good friend, Annie. The good news is that all that cutting didn't affect my back at all. Yay! Friday, June 10, 2005. With the quilt and I got to speak ...

Tuesday, May 31, 2005. Two out of three bindings sewn on, Mom's is done and Cora's grandbabygirl's. That one's a surprise, so don't mention it to her. I'm traveling for work next weekend, to Morehead City, NC, so I also have housecleaning to do for the cat sitter. I'll do dishes in bit and then work on the final quilt. Then I can get started maybe this week on Annie's duvet cover. That'll be a fun one to work on. It's the Maple Island Pagoda pattern. Friday, May 27, 2005. Tuesday, May 24, 2005. Here I've...

Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Real Food: What to Eat and Why. My rating: 5 of 5 stars. This book was such an unexpected breath of fresh air that I spent weeks with it, highlighting, bookmarking and cross-referencing, while ignoring other exciting reads on my kindle and a stack of books on my desk. We all know that what we put in our bodies is important, but how often do we make the connections and finally see the big picture? View all my reviews. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Life as an Acupuncturist and more!: And now... The much awaited River of Smoke by Amitav Ghosh

Wednesday, November 30, 2011. And now. The much awaited River of Smoke by Amitav Ghosh. My rating: 5 of 5 stars. Another huge area of interest for me in this book is the history of China (being involved in Chinese medical arts), and little that I formally know about China's history, the book brings it to the reader in a vivid and engaging form that makes for a fine introduction to further study. http://arborvitaeacu.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 26, 2009. Rating: 5 of 5 stars. Well recommended and a reading well worth your time. Interest in languages definitely helpful! View all my reviews. Saturday, June 20, 2009. A Lunch with a Friend. Were able to take a pleasant walk down the block to the restaurant Blue. Old favorite with a new twist - tuna tartare with jicama, and the overall winner of the day from the new menu is the truffle dumpling in chilled corn broth. A very special lunch, and one very grateful diner! A Dip in the Lake.
