Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun: November 2014
http://girlonatrike.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun. Excursions on our splendid 'bent trikes. Wednesday, 12 November. We only went 10 miles today. It is hard to figure out how to ride on a weekday afternoon when the darn sun goes down at 4:45pm. Red Leader just takes a few hours off of work and we go. We rode from the parking garage in Folsom out to Nimbus Flats and back. Nothing special, but we could tell that we had ridden hard on Sunday! Probably Sunday this weekend. Links to this post. I took us back to the Raley's park...

Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun: February 2015
http://girlonatrike.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun. Excursions on our splendid 'bent trikes. Red Leader and I finally had a day together to ride! We elected to start from William Pond and ride the 12 1/2 miles to the Alphabent recumbent bike shop in Sacramento. It has been months since we'd been there and I speculated that there would be a new shop minion. And there was! Sweating like a one armed paper hanger, he still found time to take down our request for new chain tubes for the trikes. And some familiar ones. Yay!

Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun: May 2015
http://girlonatrike.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun. Excursions on our splendid 'bent trikes. Ride to the Capitol. Joined a May is Bike Month event full of mayors and such like folk at Hagen Park. Rode to Discovery Park and got free spaghetti and listened to some speeches. Didn't ride to the Capitol, but rode to Alphabent where I had the following cam on my frame quickrelease replaced. Yay! Sunday, May 17th. Rode 21.5 cool and comfortable miles with Red Leader on the American River Trail (huge surprise, yes? Which I still h...

Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun: December 2014
http://girlonatrike.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun. Excursions on our splendid 'bent trikes. Finally, after what seems like 40 days and 40 nights of rain for California and work-stuff for Red Leader, we got out! I was moving very slowly, having overdone it (apparently) yesterday. So I invented a new game. There are very large pinecones littering the trail. I roll by one, jigging my front wheel as I go by (at a slow speed) shooting the poor pine cone into the weeds. And that's all I have to say today. Happy Holidays!

Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun: Autopause. Sigh.
http://girlonatrike.blogspot.com/2015/04/autopause-sigh.html
Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun. Excursions on our splendid 'bent trikes. April 9th, Red Leader and I started from the Folsom parking garage on our (now) usual 20-something mile ride to somewhere past Sunrise and back. I have got to remember that using any other app on my phone while Strava is running causes it to autopause. I don't want it to autopause, because then I have to find the app and poke it to get to to run again. So my recorded ride was 7 miles. Phhhhhht. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun: July 2014
http://girlonatrike.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun. Excursions on our splendid 'bent trikes. Saturday, July 19th and Wednesday, July 23rd. 339 / #143 (the Wednesday numbers). Red Leader went out by himself last week, as I felt it necessary to stay home with our elderly dog (she is feeling better now, yay). So I went out on Saturday very early in the morning. It has been a long time since I started a ride with the sun, and it felt good! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Favorite local bike shops.

Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun: MiBM El Dorado County Kickoff
http://girlonatrike.blogspot.com/2015/05/mibm-el-dorado-county-kickoff.html
Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun. Excursions on our splendid 'bent trikes. MiBM El Dorado County Kickoff. 2 whole miles. Whoooo. Now this ride, I'm not surprised I forgot to blog about. Between the ride on the 3rd, and this ride on the 7th, I got a massive, horrible head cold. Which I still had when I did this event. It was raining, cold, and a little windy. So I only went 2 miles. More people turned out then I expected, given the weather, but we El Dorado County folks are tough. Favorite local bike shops.

Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun: July 2015
http://girlonatrike.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun. Excursions on our splendid 'bent trikes. Sometime in the past few months, Red Leader went on a bike ride by himself, and had a pinch flat and TWO more flat tubes. Today, we carefully checked his flat tire for sharp bits, found none, and put in a new tube. We did the counterclockwise Lake Natoma loop. On the last hill I got a flat! So we are officially in need of new tubes. RL has no more and I have one patched tube and one new tube. Links to this post. My Own Two Feet.

Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun: September 2014
http://girlonatrike.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Three Wheels, No Motor, Big Fun. Excursions on our splendid 'bent trikes. Keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times. I went for a ride on Tuesday, first thing in the morning. Just around Lake Natoma. Not a lot of people out there that time of day on a weekday. How different was Wednesday's late afternoon ride with Red Leader. Lots of folks out, trying to get some time in on the trail when it was barely 90 degrees. That's what we were doing anyway. CU, and remember . Rubber side down, please.
