Last week I wrote. About the dismal failure in our garden this year. I'm happy to report, however, that our front yard is doing great. The flowers are enjoying all the sunshine and warm temperatures. Me too. I came across The Sweet Nest. It's so great, I may need to order another one in a different color.

The weather was perfect, the company was excellent, and I had a chance to relax and do some self-evaluation. My husband and I spent a lot of time talking about the future, and where we're headed. Monday, August 31, 2015. While all eyes were on Erika's path towards the East Coast, the Pacific Northwest decided to have a big storm of its own this weekend. On Saturday we had 60 mph winds and several inches of rain - not unusual in winter, but record breaking for August. Our power was out for over fifteen hours, and every store in town was closed.
