I wanted Belle to be timelessly beautiful with our Beast to be rugged and tattooed surrounded by stag heads, so a shooting lodge was the perfect location for the shoot. For me the AntiBride represents the total polar opposite of the traditional blonde haired, angelic image of a skinny model dressed in a white dress, that so many bridal magazines make us believe a bride should look like. I was the ‘bride’ in the styled photo shoot and guess what, I’ve got bright red hair and I’m not a size 6 so not your ‘typical’ bride! For the Princess and the Pea wedding I wanted to create an outdoor scene that was a home from home, so it seemed the only logical thing to do was to build the different rooms of a house under the branches of a huge tree! There was of course the bedroom scene with the stack of mattresses, a living room scene and a dining room scene where I dressed a table for a wedding breakfast.
