Monday, December 19, 2011. It's Beginning to Geek A Lot Like Christmas. Well, I don't have anything of my own. To post about, but I wanted to share some of my favorite geeky holiday things that I've found online. It just gives me warm fuzzies to look at them. :) Here they are, in no particular order. 1 ThinkGeek's 8-Bit LED Holiday Wreath. This is just so full of Christmas WIN. 2 iPhone Gameboy Case. Isn't the iPhone more about games and apps than being a phone anyways? 5 Keyboard Hanukkah Menorah.

Not sure what I was expecting, but the app really impressed me. It's basically a way to make graphics as if you were scrapbooking. I have never been interested in scrapbooking, but in app-form it's relaxing and fun! I really enjoyed how effortless it was to come up with fun designs and color combinations. Posted by Annie L.

kablooie crafts: Holy Cr---!

Monday, June 20, 2011. I attempted something that resembled actual sewing. Like, something that's not just a basic shape or something. Something someone would wear. AND, here's the kicker: it turned out resembling what it was supposed to. Dare I say. it's CUTE! Actually, a couple! On a whim, I recently picked up this book. Now, when people who are actually good at sewing look at this kind of project, they say words like easy. And whipped it up. If you can't tell, I'm having trouble believing this.).

Tuesday, May 29, 2012. I finally tackled making a blanket! I'm not sure why quilts and blankets have intimidated me for so long - not that intricate quilts still don't - but for how much I've read tutorials on them, I kept putting off trying to make one myself. Follow that tutorial if you want to make one. I'm showing some pics along the way but not in that much detail. I had this great collection of Riley Blake. Fabric called " Farm Fresh. Finally when you're done with that, and you've sewn the strip fr...

Even though I was finishing it up at 2am last night, it totally counts! You may remember this fabric as the IKEA curtains from my tote bag post. I sewed those pieces to create...

Friday, August 26, 2011. IKEA curtain to tote bag! It's purely coincidental that these two posts in a row are related to IKEA. :-). I've been wanting to make a tote bag for awhile now, to see how easy/hard it is, and also because tote bags are one of the most useful things ever invented since, like, . sliced bread? Okay, that doesn't work there, but I'm sticking with it. I absolutely loved these curtains and had almost bought some for our house (but decided to go with plain white instead):. That explains...

A wreath form (see below). Felt, any colors you want. Then I wra...
