Tyne Half Marathon
A proposal for an exciting half marathon that would start and finish at Newcastle/Gateshead Quayside and would pass through the Tyne Pedestrian Tunnel which is currently undergoing a major multi-million pound refurbishment. With the start and finish less than 1km apart, considerable car parking available on the Quayside as well as excellent transport links within the city, this would make for a very accessible event. The Tyne Half Marathon sounds great, please keep me updated!

In November 1943 notice was given to the villagers that they would be required to leave within 28 days as the area was needed for forces’ training.
