Happy and Sad Times | type1welshboy

My life, amazing boys, and type 1 diabetes! Happy and Sad Times. Well, I beat the Education Board! I will be honest, they stood little chance against me since I am well aware of how awkward I am, and they were blissfully unaware! Although I have to admit that even I had my doubts when faced with knock back after knock back. That saying, I think they just got fed up with my phoning their offices 3 times a day, and not just annoying one person but quite a few! Is this a concern that he needs as a child?

My life, amazing boys, and type 1 diabetes! It has come to my attention that it is not unusual in my house that we all pull together. This is incredibly noticeable with my elder son Meical, aged 8. Since Jac was diagnosed with his Diabetes 21 months ago (I can’t quite believe we are nearly at the 2 year mark….what a lot we have learnt in that time! I often tell him how brilliant he is and I hope he knows it! Enjoying the recent snow. I replied ” You’re a bit high”. I’m tired.”. My gorgeous boys…. As a T1...

A young person with Type 1 diabetes writes about kid friendly, vegetarian recipes. These sandwiches make good snacks at home and appetizers. I like to eat them with portabello mushroom pizzas. They don’t go well in lunchboxes. Serving size: 1 sandwich. Total Carbs: 3-5 per sandwich. Recipe type: Snacks 0 – 15 carbs. 1 granny smith apple. 3 oz brie cheese (we use goat milk brie). 3 tsp chopped walnuts. Slice apples into thin circles. Type 1 With Tyler

Saturday, September 3, 2011. Ummm, yeah. I have all but abandoned this blog but I'm here with a refreshed commitment to document and share our anything but boring lives with Type 1! Other than that it was smooth sailing. I even remembered to change his pump right away to California time, having the time just two hours off can create crazy highs or lows since he has several different basal rates over the course of 24 hours. Now that summer is over, it is on to our next adventure- Junior High! We have good...

Type 1 Writes | Diabetes Blog – My Story with Type 1 Diabetes

Diabetes Blog – My Story with Type 1 Diabetes. What The #DOC Means to Me. August 14, 2015. August 13, 2015. I joined in a fantastic conversation the other day, regarding whether involvement in the Diabetes Online Community (DOC) benefits or harms patients. You can read more about that on Brian’s blog here. I Don’t Want Anyone To Know.
