Wednesday, 31 August 2011. The Saxo first impressions. I took the Saxo down to Kames for a test on Sunday. The journey was eventful as my towcar developed an alarming vibration under acceleration which subsequently turned out to be a broken CV joint. It was nice to see the old racingPug at Kames in the hand of the new owner, Cammy who seemed to be having a great time. Last wee niggle is a slight coolant leak from the expansion tank - the coolant has a bit of gunk in it so I hope its not the HG on the way...

Monday, 23 July 2012. Next event - Three Sisters Sprint - 5 August. I've had my entry confirmed for the Three Sisters Sprint near Wigan on 5 August. It's a couple of years since I was there but its a cracking wee kart circuit much like Teesside so provided the weather is kind to us, it should be a good day out. Monday, 9 July 2012. I hope you enjoy reading about my exploits competing in speed events in the UK. Speed events are run at race-tracks, kart-tracks and, in the case of hillclimbs, up hills! Saturday, 20 July 2013. The long hiatus continues. It's six months since I posted on here so you might have guessed that I've taken a break from sprints and hill climbs. I never quite found the right MX5 and once the season started I decided to just take a year out and focus on getting my old Merc back on the road. Most of my fastest times have now been beaten by these guys but they still haven't managed to get under the magic 100 seconds on the Kames clockwise track. Maybe that will happen in July.
