De deelnemers aan het Panamericana 2011-2012 Volvo Classic Adventure rijden met klassieke Volvo's. Uiteraard is deze reis een ultieme test om de kwaliteit van Volvo opnieuw te bewijzen. De wegen zijn doorgaans goed verhard, maar zeker niet overal even breed. Bestuurders die last hebben van hoogtevrees, kunnen beter de Tulpenrally gaan rijden. Geen Volvo, maar Toyota. In tegenstelling tot de andere deelnemers rijdt team 92 niet in een klassieke Volvo, maar in een grote Toyota Landcruiser, die een Westfalia Cargo Cross. Trailer trekt. Team 92 is verantwoordelijk voor het transport van onderdelen en andere voor de reis noodzakelijke spullen.
