Mulhouse to Basel - Two Touring Cyclists
http://twotouringcyclists.com/mulhouse-basel
Gear list for European Tour. September 21, 2014. Rode the last 40kms of our bicycle tour from Paris to Basel. It was a pretty easy day along the canal. Approaching Basel I switched on the Garmin GPS to try and find the best route to the hotel as I have done on numerous occasions over the past month. However, no Switzerland! Before leaving home I only purchased and downloaded France, Beligum and the Netherlands for the GPS! Quite a few people out canoeing the river as we went into Basel.

Gear list for European Tour. Netherlands – Hoge Veluwe. September 28, 2014. The Hoge Veluwe national parks and surronding area is a fantastic area to ride bicycles. There are kilometers of tracks most sealed (tar and concrete) with some hard dirt. While we didn’t ride any we did see numerous mountain bike tracks. The tracks go through forest and large areas of heather. There is a fair amount of up and down riding but the area is beautiful. We visited the large monkey park (Apenhal) in the area.

Montbeliard to Mulhouse - Two Touring Cyclists

Gear list for European Tour. September 20, 2014. The French have put in fantastic cyclepaths that are great to ride for most of this section of the Eurovelo 6 route. This area is very pretty as you follow the canal down to Rhine. It’s a great feeling when you hit a section of locks on the canal and the path is downhill as far as you can see. While Mulhouse was damaged badly during WW2 a lot of the old part of the city has been restored and it is a great area to walk around. You might also like.

Gear list for European Tour. Kinderdijk – day of windmills. September 30, 2014. Spent the day riding out from Gouda to Kinderdijk. Great 68km circuit that went really well apart from the marked track that turned out to be a rarely used farmers access track (lucky we were able to push the bikes for 2 or 3 kilometers). Beat the rain by a few minutes on the way home. Coffee and cake at a beautiful little stop on the side of the bicycle path. Cat was pretty keen on the cream. Kinderdijk - day of windmills.
