Five Digit Test (FDT)為一評量選擇性注意力 (selective attention)、交替性注意力 (alternating attention)及抑制能力 (inhibition)之測驗。 FDT的刺激物為1 5個阿拉伯數字(1 5)。測驗中受測者時而需「唸出阿拉伯數字，而忽略阿拉伯數字的個數」，時而需「數阿拉伯數字的個數，而不唸出阿拉伯數字」。 當阿拉伯數字與數字數量相同時，受測者可以較快的唸出數字（或數出數量），且錯誤率較低；但當當阿拉伯數字與數字數量不同時，受測者會被這兩個不一致的訊息干擾，因而唸出數字（或數出數量）的時間較慢，且錯誤率較高。 由於大腦在處理兩個衝突或干擾的訊息時，需抑制干擾的訊息，同時處理與任務相關的訊息。因此大腦須花較多的時間處理訊息，而產生史楚普效應。 評估史楚普效應的測驗初期大多是紙本測驗，受測者需唸出測驗的答案（FDT即屬於此類）。然而近年來由於電腦化測驗具 節省施測人力. Shared decision-making是兩人(群體)在做決定時，由彼此共同下決定。此議題在醫療環境中，隨著client-oriented model的倡導逐漸受到重視。因為在過去的醫療體系中，醫療人員因為掌握較多醫療訊息，所以在醫病溝通的過程中總是扮演著絕對權威者的角色，而個案掌握較少訊息時，只能乖乖聽從醫療人員的建議。然而這個單一決策的模式，因為逐漸強調以個案為中心的思維而開始改變- 在醫病溝通的過程中開始強調個案的想法!
