Wednesday, March 18, 2015. A Long Time Coming…. So here’s what happened… I wrote this. Blog post almost two years ago. I was so excited to graduate, and go to Hawaii with my Dad and my sister, and to have life calm down just a little bit after graduation, where I would slip into the easy, idyllic life that I had been looking forward to since I started my undergrad degree. She told me my Dad was being prepped for surgery and they wouldn’t know the extent of the damage until they “got in there,...In all th...

knitting duck: March 2012
http://duckabroad.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 16, 2012. I LOVE to bake and decorate cupcakes and nothing makes me more happy than to make them for the people in my life… the biggest problem here is that most of the people in my life live far away and…. well… cupcakes don't ship so well. Until NOW! I saw this idea on Pintrist (oh how I love thee) and tried it out the very next day. It's one of those things that is so simple it's brilliant. Bake the cupcakes in a mason jar! This opens a whole new world of cupcakes. FO: Pink Find A Penny.

Musings on knitting, music and living in Abu Dhabi. Sunday, June 28, 2009. My facination with the baby vest continues with these two projects. Firstly we have what I like to call "How now green owl! Pattern: Owl Baby Vest. Yarn: Knit Picks Comfy Sport in Honey Dew. Modifications: A few, see below. It's so adorable though, being so small. knitting duck: December 2011
http://duckabroad.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 29, 2011. I love to knit for those I love. I makes me feel good to know that something I made with my hands will brighten their day. This year I gave my step-mom the gift of hand knits for her birthday and sent her a card telling her I would be happy to knit something of her choice. Imagine my surprise when she picked one of my very own designs! I sent her some photos of yarn I had in my stash and she happened to pick the one I had been dying to knit with the most! Needles: US Size 4.

Adventures in Good Countries. Chemicals & The Economy. Septmeber 15, 2009: The Day My World Changed Forever. September 14, 2010 — diplotrotter. I know I fell off the blogging wagon. I have been so touched by how many people have commented on my disappearance, and feel that I should explain myself. First though, I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to read my useless ramblings. Invited me over for a delicious dinner. It was an all round pleasant birthday. To Mom, with all my love. That wa...

Adventures in Good Countries. Chemicals & The Economy. They’re Called Daytime Running Lights, People! June 4, 2009 — diplotrotter. My thoughts on UAE drivers are well known. After driving here for almost a year, I thought I understood everything. However, I’ve noticed that whenever I get on the highway to Dubai, some crazy driver will chase me at high speed, waving frantically, and indicate that I pull over. I’m a big city person, I don’t pull over for anyone! My car has daytime running lights! Personall...

Adventures in Good Countries. Chemicals & The Economy. The Day Before…. November 4, 2008 — diplotrotter. OMG, it’s Election Day in the United States! I’m so excited! I am, of course, streaming both KCRW and WNYC to keep on top of what’s going on. I love NPR! There was sad news on the Obama front today; his grandmother passed away from cancer and Obama’s campaign director in Nevada died of a heart attack last night. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
