The President or committee members are there to say hello as you come in. We all have name badges which make meeting people easier. There is a chance to meet, sit and chat at morning tea. There are several social events during the year. We come to U3A to learn but we come for friendship too. Where and when is Morning Tea? Are people able to visit?

For some it is in a small way but for others, well, their whole lives are torn apart and they are uprooted from everything with which they are familiar and comfortable. Across the path is the daffodil family. They are such a bright, sunny bunch. Their faces are always happy and smiling and no-one in that family ever ha...She c...

Writers workshop | U3A Clarence
http://www.u3aclarence.com/writersworkshop
We like to write! Maybe some of our efforts will get published, as has already happened with a few, but our pleasure is to write and share those writings with our friends, much as a sportsperson enjoys a round of golf or a set of tennis with no dreams of playing a Masters or the courts of Wimbledon or Roland Garros. Each item was chosen by its author. Now others can read them and, as everyone has a story to tell, perhaps our stories and poems will inspire others to write theirs. The Brontes - Joan Carr.

President's Message | U3A Clarence
http://www.u3aclarence.com/presidents-message
I sit here thinking about my message for the end of Term 2 and it dawns on me that I have written some sort of message for this spot several times over the past two and a half years! I always wonder how I manage to find the words to express what the essence of U3A is, how I manage to express my admiration for all those wonderful people who help keep us functioning. Perhaps it is our ability to find such a wide range of topics and tutors to present them. Perhaps it is a combination of all the above? As al...
