The myth of sacrifice. Tuesday, November 06, 2007. 8220;sticks and stones will break my bones but words can never hurt me.”. Then why do I fight back the tears. My coverings thrown to the floor. Feared to soil the furniture I am stunned stupid with insulted hurt. Ear waxed battery change. Up down flat bump. Pat on to the back forgiveness. Leave my skin at the door next time. Dead deer afternoon road kill. The ripped flesh belly. Flashing warm red in the yellow autumn road side grass. Links to this post.

https://artbread.blogspot.com/2010/01/gone-so-long.html
The myth of sacrifice. Tuesday, January 05, 2010. So long I couldnt look at this place,. Who i was i am will be. Til now. today. And maybe i can see again. What is a daughter? How does any of this matter. Or does it anymore? And time will tell. Tuesday, January 05, 2010. Ah, you do still exist. Seems to me you should be visiting us and our goats sometime now that you are alive again. Missing you! And the invitation. Will have to look and see what you are up to in your blogosphere too.

A Butcher's Daughter: bleed
https://artbread.blogspot.com/2007/02/bleed.html
The myth of sacrifice. Sunday, February 18, 2007. Sunday, February 18, 2007. These look so great. It creates such a frisson about the surgery about to be performed. I hope these digitals become a digital piece. Perhaps you can document the stages of the surgical operation and create a second time-based work? Hi vJane. thanks for the encouraging comments. I have been filing all these with a digital work in mind. This may have something to do with the book i am reading. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

A Butcher's Daughter: December 2006
https://artbread.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
The myth of sacrifice. Sunday, December 31, 2006. This is a big painting in progress as part of the Butcher's Daughter installation concept. The size is approximately 4 feet by 10 feet. I have ideas about stitching the story onto the canvas somehow and something is coming into mind like large woolly dolls. Dolls marked with the sins of my anceestors. or race. or? It keeps getting darker and feels a bit dangerous. Have you seen my nightmare painting? Or are you headed somewhere less literal.
