The Reverend Linda Dowling Girouex is the Pastor of Riverside United Church of Christ. Ordained by the United Church of Christ in 2002, Rev. Linda is the spiritual leader and founding pastor of our congregation. She received her Masters of Divinity fro Iliff School of Theology after struggling with the sexism and homophobia of the denomination of her childhood and being received as the first woman candidate for ministry in the local presbytery in 1968. Riverside United Church of Christ is committed to reaching out to the broader community. To that end we have engaged with various efforts to help our community. Just Peace Action Team. The Just Peace Action Team (JPat) is an effort to bring peace to our world through service. The team meets monthly and most recently has been involved in helping homeless families. The team also collects donations for food pantries in the area. Riverside United Church of Christ holds special events.
