Monsters of the Midway. The University of Chicago Velo Club Proudly Presents the 2016 Edition of. Monsters of the Midway. To be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 on the Midway Plaisance. The course is a 1.1 mile loop run counter clockwise along the scenic Midway Plaisance. The course features wide turns, good (and in some areas new! Pavement and a great atmosphere! As you all know, the days are getting rather short, and I think this week may be the last that super early into work will allow for ride time afterwads. or at least daylight ride time. I am thinking that as long as the roads are dry and temperatures not too unreasonable, a nighttime ride wouldn't be the worst thing. Do any of you have suggestions on lamps, headlight, and lights? I don't want to break the bank. I do want to be safe!

As always, we will need a ton of volunteers to run the event. I have set up a schedule so that people can sign up for a volunteering slot. I sent an e-mail to the club's list a while ago, inviting you to sign up. You just have to click on the link in that e-mail, and that will take you to a Google Docs document that you can edit.
