We are based in Nsambya, Kampala, Uganda. Godfrey Yiga and Denis Kirabo founded Uganda Cultural Beat in 2007. They started by training two orphans how to dance and getting them an education. Since then, it has grown to 53 students- both primary and secondary. Ten are housed on their site in Nsambya, and everyone trains after-school for performances which sustain the organization. With rising food and gas prices in Uganda, Uganda Cultural Beat is having trouble sustaining themselves with performances.
