Uganda - 2008: Day 3

http://www.ugandagiving.blogspot.com/2008/07/day-3.html

This week there were people here for a peace conference focussed on the Congo and Darfur. Nice company for discussions at Breakfast. Today I worked at the Boys with Experience site. Uganda - 2008: Uganda - Day One

http://www.ugandagiving.blogspot.com/2008/07/uganda-day-one.html

Thursday, July 31, 2008. Uganda - Day One. Well, after 40 hours of travel we arrived here in Uganda. We had a few glitches en route but we are all here and today was our first day of work. We formed three teams and each will rotate each day. The first team worked on the computer lab. It is in rough shape but we will be bringing it back to life. The last team worked at a home for orphans who are teenagers. 2o kids there - many who just wanted someone to talk to - to hear their stories. Uganda - Day One.

We have been focusing mainly on open-air crusades and visiting elementary and high schools. Today we went to Banda, an internally displaced camp for Acholis (people from Gulu) and did door-to-door evangelism and the response was incredible. everyone we met in our sub-group were so eager and ready to hear about Jesus and to dedicate their lives to the Lord. I love you all!
