The final report from the Early Implementor sites has been published and it now seems clear that our worst fears about A4C have been confirmed. In fact, the report itself is pretty short on new information, but the actual experience in the Early Implementor sites speaks for itself:. As many as 40% of staff on protection (ie a pay freeze). New staff coming into downgraded posts to start on the new, lower rate of pay.

There will be a special discussion about the unfolding events in Latin America, and especially Venezuela, at the June Branch Meeting. After dealing with the practical business of the meeting, members will watch the documentary film, "Inside The Coup", which tells the inside story of the bosses' failed coup of 2002 against President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. A resolution will be presented for discussion.
