The fingerboard is bloodwood and the binding is purpleheart; the rosette is purpleheart and holly. Len Dawes, luthier. After attending the School of Guitarmaking in Totnes, Devon in 2005 I designed and built a number of guitars, in particular acoustic bass guitars and contrabass guitars. These are large and complex and time consuming to complete. They are also a good and challenging way to refine and test instrument building skills. So I am pleased to offer these instruments on commission, built to the specification of their prospective owner and to the standards of the best classical instruments.

Len Dawes, luthier. Baritone uke of scale length 508mm in mahogany, with fan bracing and carbon fibre neck reinforcement. It is fan braced. The rosette is in bloodwood and holly and the head veneer in a pale veneer (don't know quite what). It is not bound. The tuners are gotoh stealth tuners.
