Life in Our Shoes. Thursday, April 30, 2009. We came in for induction Wednesday morning (4/29/09) at 7:15am. We got all settled in and started the Pitocin at 8:00am. By 9:00am I was at 3cm dilated, 100% effaced and they broke my water (which was pretty disgusting, by the way). By 11:30am I was ready for my epidural! Wow in only an hour! 15 minutes later I was at 10 and ready to go. We had to wait about 20 minutes because someone else was delivering at the same time. 20 minutes in all and no tearing!

Life in Our Shoes. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Thought we would share some of our Tuesday with you! We have had a great day! I am doing his tummy drops (gas drops) with every feeding and some exercises (pulling his legs down and pushing them up and massaging his tummy and legs) to help him release the gas and to poop more. It seems to be really helping! He had a much more restful sleep last night and has been in a great mood today! He is liking his bath more and more now that he can "lounge" in the warm water!

Life in Our Shoes. Saturday, February 21, 2009. We have officially started our 3rd Trimester and our every 2 week appointments. It seems like Drake will be here soo soon, but at the same time seems so far away. My 28 week appointment was on Feb 17th. I saw a different doctor this time (Dr. Nichols), to try to get know more of the team in case my doctor is not on call when I go into labor. She was very nice! But as of this appointment he is head down! The only issue I am really having now is swelling....

Life in Our Shoes. Saturday, September 12, 2009. Happy 4 Month Birthday! August 29th we celebrated Drake's 4 month Birthday by spending an afternoon/evening out on our deck just hanging out. It was a chilly day that day outside, so Drake got to wear his camo pants and the jacket Grandma Robin got him on one of her work trips. He has started finding himself in the mirror. He just looks, smiles and coos at "the baby". Mom would you please quit pointing that thing at me! Playing in his "jumpy"!
