Nick Ham - long distance runner: September 2013
http://ultraploddernick.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Nick Ham - long distance runner. Sunday, 8 September 2013. Barrel Inn fell race 6.5mi. 27/08/2013. We got to enjoy a perfect summer's evening. It was good to see the usual suspects Caitlin Rice and Chris Jackson of Glossopdale Harriers once again. Whenever I turn up to a local fell race, there they are! It's that serial compulsive fell racing; it breeds speed. It's all good. :-). Caitlin and Chris already well finished by the time I collapsed across the line. Saturday, 7 September 2013. This came 3 days ...

mr immune: Running Ultras and Trails: June 2011
http://mr-immune.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Mr immune: Running Ultras and Trails. A diary of my training as I hit the trails, roads and parks in and around Surrey, and of course, the occasional event further afield. Friday, 17 June 2011. Southdowns Marathon 2011 - Race Report. When I got to the start area I had a wonder round and found Ian Berry (Pacer from Brighton Mara) and we had a quick catch up and discussed our amazing offer for November from Darris and Star (CLIF Bar Pace Team organisers) as well as his 4 Marathons in 24hrs event next weeke...

However I thought it was high time I fed back on the race I completed today as it was a special one. Marathon #50. A belated BD pressie to myself. Back down to the Adur was a welcome high 5 with John Kipps, on marathon 98. Congrats to come buddy! Anyone recommend a factor 100? Sunday, May 04, 2014. Links to this post. Round ...

UltraBobban; ultramarathon running adventures: Compton Downland 40/20 Race Report
http://ultrabobban.blogspot.com/2015/04/compton-downland-4020-race-report.html
UltraBobban; ultramarathon running adventures. Saturday, 4 April 2015. Compton Downland 40/20 Race Report. No way. Kelvin whizzed past looking in fine fettle. He was really enjoying himself. I had 2 miles of undulating mud to cope with and then some streets. I peeled off after 20.1 miles and 2043ft of gain. Race over. Not a DNF but a race cut short. Well I am just pretty shite. I'll be back. It may take some time. Saturday, April 04, 2015. 5 April 2015 at 09:54. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 100 Mi...

http://ultrabobban.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
UltraBobban; ultramarathon running adventures. Saturday, 21 June 2014. Race Report South Downs Marathon. Marathon #51 was a bit of a worry from the start. I have not run more than 10 miles in the last 2 months and have been getting in junk miles. However I entered this with the trepidation of a lamb to the slaughter and you might well want to douse my quads in mint sauce this evening! Coming into the finish was great. I forgot how good a big finish was! Saturday, June 21, 2014. Links to this post. No you...

UltraBobban; ultramarathon running adventures: March 2015
http://ultrabobban.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
UltraBobban; ultramarathon running adventures. Sunday, 15 March 2015. Race Report: Ranscombe Challenge. I woke up a little unsure of myself before this race. I haven't done any serious miles recently and with a promising start to the year with the Tanners, have not got over 18 miles in the last 9 weeks. Still, with a coffee and marmite on toast in my belly I ventured out into the heavy rain and whizzed down to the Medway on the North Downs to Ranscombe Park. Sunday, March 15, 2015. The Dog's Outdoor Blog: April 2012
http://dogsoutdoorblog.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
The Dog's Outdoor Blog. Sunday, 29 April 2012. Country lanes disinterest me. Pavements bore me. Treadmills have been known to send me into a permanent vegetative state. But I simply love running on Trails, and even off trails, which I guess is fell running. So addictive. Some of you may have heard about a 3 year old lad from Newport called Luca who was struck down with Meningoccocal Septicaemia in January 2012. Luca survived against all the odds but he lost both legs and has major tissue, muscle and ...

The Dog's Outdoor Blog: November 2011
http://dogsoutdoorblog.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
The Dog's Outdoor Blog. Sunday, 27 November 2011. Kili - Day 4. Day 4 was planned to be a short walk from Barranco Valley to Karanga Valley campsites. But the plan was changed for a few reasons. Dave and I were very strong on the walks but we were very weak when it came to getting as good night's sleep in the tent on an uncomfortable gritty surface! The views back into the valley were tremendous as we climbed upwards. When it did, the sun shone once more and the day brightened up. After lunch we head...

"Ultra" Drunken Euphoria: April 2012
http://ultradrunkeneuphoria.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Off the road, to the trails. and off the rails? Not a bit of it! I've opened my mind to a whole world of self-powered challenges, mostly featuring awesome backdrops. Friday, 20 April 2012. 2011 and the "mk2" route again - well for me. This time I ran around with Mark and - for much of the route - Dave. Conditions were as last year, if anything even warmer and we had a great round in 7:14. So what would my "Calderdale route mk3" experiance be like? For some sections. Considering we'd been lost. no. Paths,...
