A few weeks back I took a short trip by train to join the trouper in the interiors of Assam. On boarding the train I was rather appalled to see the state of the compartment. It seemed it hadn’t been cleaned for ages. Although perturbed by the negligence of the staff I thought I could ignore it. After all it was just five hours, I could live with that! I settled down with a book to fill the time.
